How long have you been in business?
Sharp Cookie opened its doors in October 2007.
What is your primary product or service?
Sharp Cookie produces cookies, quick breads, rum cakes, custom-made, hand-decorated sugar cookies and gift platters.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I started baking when I was a child but pursued two other career paths before I became an entrepreneur. I was a teacher in my 2nd career and was an English as a Second Language / math teacher at Irvin High School in El Paso. We started a Saturday school for this population of students and I brought baked goods for these students. I started selling cookies a year later. I went into the business full-time when I left teaching in 2007.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Sharp Cookie prides itself in offering the highest quality product as well as in its originality and innovation.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have been at the Festival Crossing Shopping Plaza since the fall of 2011. It has been a great location for the business and we have continued to grow annually here. There are no plans for expansion at this point.
What type of payments do you accept?
Cash, Checks, Visa, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and debit cards.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Nancy Reynolds is the proprietress and runs the day-to-day operations.
What are your hours of operation?
Tuesday - Thursday 10 AM to 7 PM Friday - Saturday 10 AM to 8 PM Sunday and Monday closed
